COVID-19 Update

As of March 24th, 2020 the offices of the Superior Watershed Partnership (SWP) will REMAIN OPEN to provide essential services as warranted by Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order #2020-21 (Sec. 9). This includes the SWP Main Office (Presque Isle Park) and the SWP Energy Office (Lakeview Arena). However, both offices are CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. While most SWP employees are working remotely a skeletal staff will be on hand at both SWP offices to provide continuity of essential services.

As Eagle Mine continues to operate as a critical facility, the Community Environmental Monitoring Program (CEMP) will continue environmental monitoring at Eagle Mine and the Humboldt Mill with modified protocols to ensure the safety of SWP and KBIC employees as well as Eagle Mine staff and contractors. This will remain in effect until restrictions are lifted and/or further notice.
